Richardson, TX -- TCAT members attended the first public Listening Session offered by the Diocese of Dallas in connection with its local synod. Participants were invited to participate in two-hour small group discussions. Discussion notes were sent to the Synod Commission for consideration. After the session ended, we approached Chancellor Caridi and inquired why the Diocese had failed to respond to any of our various letters, suggestions, requests or proposals since November of 2020. The bishop briefly joined our conversation, thanked us for our work and for coming to the Synod meeting and said that the Diocese needed our input on the abuse topic. We all shook hands and the meeting broke-up. We have heard nothing further from the Diocese.
